L&P Contracting was built on a foundation of grit, passion, and a deep respect for craftsmanship. Founder David Ponsonby began his journey in construction as a student in the Construction Trades program at Central Westmoreland Career and Technology Center, where his interest in the trades first took root. After high school, David went on to serve as a Combat Engineer in the Army National Guard, where he developed a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way. Following his military service, David continued to pursue his passion for the trades through the Operating Engineers Union Local 66. As he advanced in his career, eventually becoming a foreman, David was driven by a vision to create something of his own — something built on integrity, quality, and relationships. That vision became reality when he founded L&P Contracting, named after his firstborn son, Liam Ponsonby. Rooted deeply in family values, L&P Contracting remains a family-run business where trust, loyalty, and personal commitment guide everything we do. For over a decade, we have proudly served the Pittsburgh region, specializing in commercial interior fit-outs, ground-up builds, renovations, and custom housing.
